Being awarded a Commendation for Emerging Cinematographer of the Year by the New Zealand Cinematographers Society, Auckland based Cinematographer Isaac Newcombe has been recognized as a prolific and distinctive cinematographer with a strong visual sensibility and storytelling focus.

Isaac’s relentless commitment to visuals and narrative storytelling has built an impressive and diverse body of work — from NZ On Air teen drama The Sender, which earned him the Gold Award at the NZCS Awards, to viral commercial projects for some of New Zealand’s biggest brands, including Bluebird Twisties, Dilmah, Mighty Ape, and Spark. He has earned a reputation for delivering striking, emotionally resonant imagery that brings depth and cohesion to every story he helps tell.
